Multi-Level M/E Processing for UHD and IP Workflows

LM² X-Pro supports multi-level mix/effects (M/E) operation for productions that need more than simple program switching. Operators can manage keyers, source mapping, preview/program paths, clean outputs, aux buses, snapshots, macros, and panel delegation from software or hardware control surfaces.

M/E resources can be configured according to show format, UHD or HD requirements, source scale, and available processing capacity. Native ST 2110 connectivity brings network video sources directly into the switcher instead of treating IP as a conversion layer.

Large-Scale Source Access

Traditional switchers are defined by fixed frames, fixed cards, and fixed input counts. LM² X-Pro moves the switching layer onto software-defined infrastructure, so production source scale can be planned around network capacity, server resources, and workflow requirements. Source management includes crosspoint (XPT) mapping and video/key pairing.

Scene-Based Layout Switching

Some productions require more than cutting from one camera to another. A scene may include multiple video windows, remote guests, graphics, logos, borders, scoreboards, and background elements.

With Layout Control, operators prepare complete visual compositions in advance, preview them, and take them to air with one action. The switch is a coordinated change between two production layouts, not simply a button press on a control interface.

Use macros to combine a scene change with graphics, audio, media playback, and transitions when the cue calls for more than a layout change.
